TGIF What's New
Happy Friday everyone!
I obviously overdid it yesterday and now I'm in pain and having problems sleeping. I went to bed and fell asleep right away, but then got up in pain, took a pain pill, but couldn't get back to sleep, so I got up, had a glass of milk and watched some TV, put the ice packs on my knee and hoped that would help. It's starting to work. I'm starting to get sleepy again, but the knee still hurts.
Anyway, I thought I'd start the post before I went back to bed and tried to sleep again. When I went out with Kim yesterday, she suggested we go out to a movie. While I'd love to, I just don't think I'm ready to have my leg down for that long.
She also told me her ex-husband, who's a photographer at the paper, is taking the buyout and considering buying a bird feeding store, using part of the store to display his photos. What a great idea for him! He's very talented. I need to think of ideas for myself. I just don't see a bright future for newspapers. Even my physical therapist said he was thinking of dropping the newspaper (it's shrunk considerably this week), and if more people make that decision, well, that's not good news.
Well, I think it's time to go back to bed.

Back at work. Doing alright tonight. After sleeping 10 hours last night, I guess I should be.
When I got back at work tonight, my supervisor gave me a gift from all the supervisors. It was not a get well gift, it was something they had already planned. I got a gas card for $25 and two movie tickets. Plus a nice card with them just saying they appreciated what I did.
That was nice.

Ah is it Friday already and is it morning?????? One day just melts into the next for me now a days.
I hope I dont get to tired today. I am taking care of Lily this evening for a few hours.
Carl is teaching today and I am so glad, he needs to get out of the house and away from me for a while.
I think Ill get creative and make up some Valentine cards and Birthday Cards for next month.

Eileen - has the pain decreased at all ???? It was good to hear you got out for a bit. The walls must have been closing in on you. Rest easy and feel better.
Too much is happening in my life right now. As the old song goes, I need to 'accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative'.

Oh yeah, Annette, the pain is down, not from before yet, but from surgery at least. Yesterday, I just overdid it, something I'm prone to doing. I feel better this morning. A little stiff but OK. Took my vicodin this morning when I got up and it's already better.
For those who wonder, they did put in a new prothesis in this surgery. It's longer. I didn't get to talk with the doc yesterday, but I saw the X-rays and I got a copy of the doc's surgery notes, but I have to have someone interpret them for me (or get a dictionary and look up some of these words). I thought he told me he removed the posterior cruciate ligament (the one that goes down the back of the knee) but the notes say something about the medial cruciate ligament (the one down the side) instead (not removing it but something else .. attenuation.
Last night was just a tough night because the pain was so bad. I slept a couple of hours in the recliner and then went back to bed. My kitties were stretched out in my rumpled flannel sheets and loving it ... no mom to take up room!
